why choose our grain free wet dog food?

"We’re really excited that Forthglade has created this special pack for us to help support the charity, it means a great deal to us. Having their continued support enables us to invest in training much-needed assistance dogs, which in turn can help transform the lives of veterans suffering from mental health issues, following their time in the Armed Forces."

explains Craig MacLellan, founder of Veterans With Dogs

We've created a short animation to explain how our natural wet dog food is different. As with
all of our tail-waggingly good recipes, our wet recipes contain no junk, is nutritionally balanced and great for sensitive tummies.

inspiring rescue adventure stories

Scout was abandoned on the streets as a puppy. Taken to a stray dogs kennel and thought to be blind, deaf, malnourished, suffering from mange and kennel cough, it was felt the kindest thing to do would be to put him down. However, due to the efforts of three rescue organisations, Scout’s life was saved. Although not deaf, Scout is completely blind but this hasn't held him back in the slightest. He has climbed mountains, paddled in the sea and runs with friends on beaches. An ambassador for the “perfectly imperfect”, Scout is also an active fundraiser, a much loved Therapy dog and the official mascot of a local community cafe, part of a social prescribing initiative.

After the traumatic loss of my first dog following an incident with another dog, the guilt I felt that I couldn't save her led to depression and anxiety, coupled with a fear of walking my other two dogs in case something happened to them. Scout gave me my life back. When he came along, I realised that I was going to be his eyes. He would rely on me to keep him safe, a promise that I made to him on day one and a promise kept We’ve had many adventures together and I’m excited to have many more.

Sally and Pete travelled the world together for over a year after university. Bitten by the travel bug, they returned home craving more adventures, as well as a dog to enjoy them with. Having relocated to a remote part of Wales and working from home much more, they felt the time was right to look for the Vizla they had dreamed of. Keen to rehome a dog from a rescue centre, the couple followed a charity called ‘Viszlamentes’ and before long received a call offering a potential match; a 7-month old Vizla who’d been rescued from Greece. Cluedo (named for his curiosity) soon joined them in the UK, and adventures together as a family followed in abundance!

"Cluedo wants to explore everything as much as we do so it’s the perfect partnership. He’s climbed Snowdon and Ben Nevis with us, paddle boarded on Scottish Lochs and surfed in Wales. Cluedo has helped us discover so much more of our remote patch of Wales. Excitement is back in our lives every single day and we’re much fitter, happier and healthier for it. Cluedo’s energy and sense of adventure has inspired us to get out and do so much more together, we feel so lucky to have found him."
