Tips For Naming Your Small Dog

Choosing a name for your small dog is a fun task but there are a few considerations to be made to get the perfect name for your pooch.

Just like the size of your dog, a smaller name is generally better as our four-legged friends respond to names that are kept to one or two syllables. Make sure to test out the name before confirming it by saying it out loud a few times.

Another tip is to avoid names that could potentially rhyme with commands as this could confuse your small dog.

Our final tip is for fellow food-obsessed dog owners like us – have you ever considered naming your small dog after your favourite food?

Here’s some of our favourite food-related dog names:

Babybel
Dumpling
Eggsy
Honey
Nugget
Peaches
Peanut
Pickles
Sushi
Taco
