We've added nutrient-packed liver along with chicken in this protein-rich complementary wet meal for dogs. With 90% chicken with liver, this grain-free, hypoallergenic meal is designed to be added with a good quality mixer, enabling you to tailor your dog's mealtimes.

Nutritious, natural ingredients are gently steamed to retain as much of their natural flavour and goodness as possible, and we keep our recipes free from any junk or fillers to ensure only the best for your four-legged friend.

To use this complementary meal, simply add it with a good quality mixer such as our dry food, or your own selection of carbohydrates.

Composition:

Chicken (85%), Chicken Liver (5%), Minerals.

Analytical constituents:

Crude Protein 11.5%, Crude Fibres 0.2%, Crude Fat 8.5%, Crude Ash 4%, Moisture 75%.

Nutritional additives:

None

Our recommended feeding amounts are here to help you, but no-one knows your four-legged friend better than you do, so do feel free to tailor them based on your dogs individual lifestyle. As a general guide if your dog is very active you should consider feeding a little more, and likewise if your dog isn’t very active you may want to consider feeding less.

This is a complementary wet pet food for dogs, so it needs to be mixed either with a good quality, natural dry food free from anything artificial – or you can add your own selection of carbohydrate-rich vegetables like sweet potato & butternut squash to make a nutritionally balanced meal.

As with all changes to your dogs' diet - if you're using the product for the first time, you should gradually introduce it to your dog over a period of 5 days to avoid any unnecessary tummy upset.

Dog Size Dog Weight Trays per day
Small 0 – 10Kg ¼ to ½
Medium 10 – 25Kg ½ to 1
Large 25 – 40Kg 1 to 1 ½
Extra Large 40 – 70Kg 1 ½ to 2

Please ensure fresh drinking water is always available.

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 48 hours. Serve at room temperature for best taste.

This time it has been more sloppie than firm, so wasnt that keen, not sure if its the weather affecting the food.

FAQs

A complete meal contains everything your dog needs to stay happy & healthy - so it simply means that you don't need to mix it with anything else for your four-legged friend to get all the nutrition they need from their dinner. Most of our recipes are complete, with the only exception being our 'Just 90%' range which is a complementary food.

A complementary food is designed to be fed alongside something else for a balanced diet. Feeding a complementary food alone will not give your dog the balanced meal and nourishment they need - so you have to add either your own selection of carbohydrate and fibre filled vegetables or a good quality mixer.

Yes!

Our wet dog food can be used as an accompaniment to a good quality, natural dry food – just make sure you adjust the quantities to avoid over-feeding.

You can use whichever split of wet vs dry food suits your dog best, but as a start point if you’d like to feed a 50:50 mix of wet and dry food – simply feed 50% of the daily recommended allowance of wet food alongside 50% of the recommended daily allowance of dry food over the course of the day.

We’ve not formally tested freezing our wet dog food, so we can’t guarantee the impact on quality or texture. If you do choose to freeze it, transfer the contents into a freezer-safe container and use within three months.

In our Just 90% complementary wet recipes, we add seaweed extract, sodium carbonate and potassium chloride. All other minerals present in the product occur naturally from the ingredients themselves.

You can safely store your opened trays of Forthglade wet meals in the fridge for up to two days after opening, without any compromise to quality or flavour.
