Our recommended feeding amounts are here to help you, but no-one knows your four-legged friend better than you do, so do feel free to tailor them based on your dogs individual lifestyle. As a general guide if your dog is very active you should consider feeding a little more, and likewise if your dog isn’t very active you may want to consider feeding less.

This a complete wet pet food for dogs, but it can be used as an accompaniment to a good quality, natural dry food – just make sure your adjust the quantities to avoid over-feeding.

As with all changes to your dogs' diet - if you're using the product for the first time, you should gradually introduce it to your dog over a period of 5 days to avoid any unnecessary tummy upset.

Wet:

Dog Size Dog Weight Trays per day
Small 1 – 10Kg ¼ to 1 ¼
Medium 10 – 25Kg 1 ¼ to 2 ½
Large 25 – 40Kg 2 ½ to 3 ½
Extra Large 40 – 70Kg 3 ½ to 4 ¼

Treats:

Treats are for special occasions, and should only play a small part in your dog’s balanced diet. Even if they use their most convincing ‘puppy eyes’ to try to persuade you otherwise. For small dogs or puppies over 2 months old, we recommend breaking the treat in half for the perfect bite.

Please ensure fresh drinking water is always available.

Store each product according to the storage instructions on its individual packaging.

Free 2–3 day UK delivery on orders over £40 (excludes Highlands & Islands and Northern Ireland). Next day delivery available from £3.99 for orders placed before 7pm.

Not happy with your order? Return it in its original packaging within 60 days for a refund or exchange.

Unfortunately my dog is being fussy and won't eat any of the wet foot. Gutted as I spent c.£50 thinking she would love it. Everything came nicely packaged though.

Switching Day By Day

"When transitioning your dog onto a new diet, it is particularly important to do this gradually and to avoid any sudden changes. This allows your dog’s digestive system to adapt with the switch and remain in balance. As a minimum, allow 5 full days to gradually reduce their current diet whilst simultaneously increasing their new food with each meal. For dogs with sensitive tummies, go even slower and transition over 1-2 weeks"

FAQs

Yes - All recipes in the British Classics range are completely grain-free - perfect for dogs with sensitive tummies.

The recipes we have chosen are all popular classic British recipes loved by all. We've also ensured that the recipes we have chosen can be created using 100% British sourced proteins to do our part in supporting local British farmers.

You’ve heard it before, ‘you are what you eat’ - and this is just as relevant for your pet as it is to you. A good diet is crucial to your pet’s overall health and wellbeing.

At Forthglade our aim has remained the same since we opened our doors in 1971; to produce simple, wholesome & natural meals for dogs which provide them with the nourishment they deserve. You only need to see and smell our food to appreciate the quality.

The British Classics range is suitable for adult dogs of 1 year+.

As puppies and senior dogs have specific dietary requirements, we don't recommend feeding these recipes to any puppies younger than one year or senior dogs aged & years +.

You can shop our dedicated range of puppy recipes here, and senior recipes here.

Our British Classics range contains 100% British proteins that are all sourced from British farms. As well as this, we've chosen classic British recipes that are loved by all so that your dog can now enjoy them too. You can view all these recipes here.
