Our wet food trays are gently cooked and sealed, making them shelf-stable, so they don't need to be kept chilled before opening. It's perfectly normal for them to feel warm after spending time in a delivery vehicle or carrier depot, especially during warmer weather.
As long as the trays are still fully sealed, show no signs of damage, swelling or leaking, and are within their best before date, they're perfectly safe to feed.
You may notice the food feels a little softer than usual after being warm in transit. That's completely normal and doesn't affect the quality or safety of the food. If you'd prefer, you can pop the trays into the fridge for a short while before feeding to help the food firm up again. It's not necessary, but some owners find it makes portioning a little easier, and some dogs simply prefer it served that way.
If you do notice any damaged seals, leaking trays or anything that doesn't look right, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
