Treats are for special occasions, and should only play a small part in your dog’s balanced diet. Even if they use their most convincing ‘puppy eyes’ to try to persuade you otherwise. For small dogs or puppies over 2 months old, we recommed breaking the treat in half for the perfect bite. Make sure fresh drinking water is always available.

Store in a cool, dry place. Reseal the pack after opening and use within 2 weeks.

I bake liver for her treats but taking her abroad needed sealed packs of something they worked well
Miranda Smith
These are by far the Grumble’s favourite treats. They are the perfect size too.
Amanda J
Being able to break the treats into smaller pieces is ideal for training sessions
Carol Bentley
I have an old dog who is partially dentate and the softness and obvious taste made these extremely popular
Jenny Shipman
These are my puppy's favourite treat and they are helping to make training him effective and fun for all. Thank you
J E
I got these as the twins usual brand of training treats were no longer available. Really easy to break into smaller pieces thereby allowing suitable sizes for toy breeds like mine (LC chihuahuas). They switched to the new treats with zero problems, despite one of them being uber fussy with good. 10/10
Susieonekenobi
My dog loves these treats - they're really handy to keep in the pocket of my coat so I can use them on walks to reward good recall - unlike some treats, they are not messy or stinky on the hands which is also a benefit!
EmmaH
Very popular treat for our dog
Sheila
Again, I just have to trust the quality, they seem good and as stated on the pack and my dog hasn't any problems from eating them (no increased thirst like bakers or pedigree). My dog LOVES the liver treats. I think it may have been that as a puppy she was trained with liver cake from the dog training facility, but given the option she picks the chicken and liver and the pork and venison sausages over any of the others. They are definitely a bit higher price point than cheaper options, but not by too much. Also some stores have deals on forthglade treats throughout the year, just not always the variety.
H1ghlym3
Our dogs love them, good bite size and food size packet for our and about on walks. Good value as I bulk buy in subscription. Very satisfied.
WALKER
Binky loves these.
Customer
My doggie loves the grain free treats but I much prefer the love heart shaped treats over the star shaped ones. So much easier to break in half and no sharp edges. Love the treats though
Lisa
I wanted to use them in treat balls and they are too big to fit through the hole. Even cut in half they get stuck. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.
Mrs K
Great treat for training!
Samantha Barnhart
My dog finds them very tasty.
Lisa Stanton
The pooch loves these! Handy to take out on walks
Mike
Chicken & Liver dog treats really get Herbie's attention and are just the right size for a treat.
Sheila
Dogs really enjoy them
P J Holmes
My dog loves these as a training treat during the day
Victoria
These are his favourite

FAQs

Unfortunately, it is possible to overfeed treats so as much as we love our four-legged friends, it's worth being cautious about how many treats you feed. Dogs who are given too many treats can end up with the following health problems:

  • Weight Gain: An overweight dog isn't a happy dog, being overweight can put a strain on joints, bones and the overall likelihood of serious health concerns increases dramatically. It's always best to seek advice from your vet if your dog starts putting on excess weight.
  • Nutrient Deficiencies: Although even the best and most natural treats can provide some valuable nutrition for your dog, If treats make up a large portion of your dog's diet, they may not be getting enough of the essential nutrients from their regular food.

Each dog is different so exactly how many treats is difficult to say however we wouldn't recommend exceeding more than 10% of your dogs total daily calorie allowance in treats. For an accurate calorie calculation, you will need to speak to your vet.

Each dog is different but in our experience high protein baked treats are a hit! They are easy to take on the go and can be broken so that you don't accidentally overfeed. Lots of treats on the market contain cereals and junk so opt for natural treats when you can.

If you're looking for something you already have at home, carrots, broccoli, seedless apple slices and rice cakes can be inexpensive alternatives to ready made dog treats. Be careful to check what fruits dogs can eat before treating.

Our soft treats can be enjoyed from 2 months + making them perfect for dogs or puppies.

Whilst our natural cuts treats can be enjoyed by slightly older puppies 4 months +.

Our dental sticks are suitable for dogs aged 1 year +.
