Gentle on sensitive tummies, our grain free chicken recipe is packed with 75% chicken along with a healthy mix of vegetables to keep your four-legged friend happy and healthy.

Free from grains, junk, fillers, artificial colours, flavours & preservatives, our recipe uses only natural ingredients with added vitamins & minerals. Carefully selected ingredients make this a hypoallergenic recipe that is gentle and kind on dog's tummies.

Perfect for all your dogs feeding needs, this complete recipe can be given as a standalone meal, a combination of wet and dry, or even as a tasty topper.

Composition:

Chicken (75%)*, Butternut Squash (4%)*, Carrots (2%)*, Peas (2%)*, Minerals, Linseed Oil (0.5%)*, Dried Seaweed (0.45%)*, Herbs (Camomile, Parsley, Rosemary, Nettle) (0.12%)*, Chicory Root Extract (as a source of Prebiotic Fructo-oligosaccharide (0.05%)*, Glucosamine (50mg/ Kg), Chondroitin (50mg/ Kg), Yucca Extract (0.005%)*. *natural ingredient

Analytical Constituents:

Crude Protein 11%, Crude Fibres 0.7%, Crude Fat 8%, Crude Ash 3%, Moisture 70%.

Nutritional Additives:

(per Kg) Vitamin A 2,500IU, Vitamin D3 200IU, Vitamin E 30mg. Trace Elements: Zinc (as Zinc Chelate of Glycine) 50mg, Iron (as Iron Chelate of Amino Acids Hydrate) 10mg, Copper (as Copper Chelate of Glycine) 5mg, Iodine (as Calcium Iodate Anhydrous) 0.5mg.

Our recommended feeding amounts are here to help you, but no-one knows your four-legged friend better than you do, so do feel free to tailor them based on your dogs individual lifestyle. As a general guide if your dog is very active you should consider feeding a little more, and likewise if your dog isn’t very active you may want to consider feeding less.

This is a complete wet food for dogs, but it can be used as an accompaniment to a good quality, natural dry food – just make sure you adjust the quantities to avoid over-feeding.

As with all changes to your dogs' diet - if you're using the product for the first time, you should gradually introduce it to your dog over a period of 5 days to avoid any unnecessary tummy upset.

Dog Size Dog Weight Trays per day

Medium 10 – 25Kg 1 ¼ to 1 ¾
Large 25 – 40Kg 1 ¾ to 2 ¼
Extra Large 40 – 70Kg 2 ¼ to 3 ¼

Switching Day By Day

"When transitioning your dog onto a new diet, it is particularly important to do this gradually and to avoid any sudden changes. This allows your dog’s digestive system to adapt with the switch and remain in balance. As a minimum, allow 5 full days to gradually reduce their current diet whilst simultaneously increasing their new food with each meal. For dogs with sensitive tummies, go even slower and transition over 1-2 weeks"

FAQs

All our wet food recipes are made at our factory in the heart of Devon, where our team of dedicated Devonian dog lovers lovingly make each and every tray.

We work very closely with a team of like-minded dog lovers in the EU to produce our range of natural dry cold pressed dog food. We're very lucky to have found a team who are both experts in the technique of cold-pressing – and who share our belief in nourishing the relationship you have with your dog through a good quality natural diet.

To make our range of treats we work with experts in the UK and EU to deliver the tastiest and wholesome treats.

Our lightly baked natural dry range is loving made here in the UK alongside a team of experts who understand the importance of producing good quality, wholesome food.

You’ve heard it before, ‘you are what you eat’ - and this is just as relevant for your pet as it is to you. A good diet is crucial to your pet’s overall health and wellbeing.

At Forthglade our aim has remained the same since we opened our doors in 1971; to produce simple, wholesome & natural meals for dogs which provide them with the nourishment they deserve. You only need to see and smell our food to appreciate the quality.

All of our wet recipes are hypoallergenic. This means we carefully select our ingredients to ensure that our recipes are of the best quality for your four legged friend. We use simple, quality ingredients with no junk or nasties. This means delicious and nutritious recipes that are kind and gentle to your dogs tummy.

Our Forthglade recipes are natural (with added vitamins and minerals in our complete ranges and selected treats). Each wet recipe is free from artificial colours and flavours.

We live by a ‘free from junk and fillers’ promise, so you can be confident your four-legged friend is getting wholesome, quality nutrition at mealtimes.

When changing a pet’s diet it’s crucial to do it gradually in order to be gentle on their digestive system.

Ideally the new diet should be added to their current food in very small portions over a 5 day period, increasing this small amount each day until eventually you are feeding your pet 100% Forthglade.

Here is some advice from Dr James Greenwood, Media Vet and Forthglade Ambassador:

"When transitioning your dog onto a new diet, it is particularly important to do this gradually and to avoid any sudden changes. This allows your dog’s digestive system to adapt with the switch and remain in balance. As a minimum, allow 5 full days to gradually reduce their current diet whilst simultaneously increasing their new food with each meal. For dogs with sensitive tummies, go even slower and transition over 1-2 weeks"
