It isn't always easy to understand what's actually in your dog's food when reading the list of ingredient. Our vet, Dr James Greenwood gives his tips on what you should be looking for (or avoiding!).
We asked Dr James about the benefits of feeding fish to our dogs.
“Although suitable for all dogs, fish-based diets are particularly ideal for dogs with sensitive stomachs, those allergic to certain meat proteins or for dogs struggling with irritated skin. Fish is an excellent source of protein and is rich in natural oils (such as omega-3 acids) and beneficial antioxidants. With gently steamed vegetables, these meals can be fed as standalone recipes to meet all your dogs nutritional requirements at each life stage to stay happy and healthy”.
