Meet our hero pups
We've funded three hero pups for Veterans with Dogs; Devon, Buddy and Elmo. Elmo is our most recent. He is sweet natured, with a calm and easy-going personality. He was carefully selected to embark on his journey to become an assistance dog and has undertaken a lot of training with his puppy socialiser. He is almost ready to move onto his next phase, becoming a Hero Dog!
Helping Transform Lives
Veterans With Dogs is dedicated to providing highly trained dogs to both current and former members of the British Armed Forces, who are suffering from service-related mental health conditions such as PTSD. Founded by Craig MacLellan, Veterans With Dogs is the UK’s only charity of its kind. MacLellan himself suffered the devastating effects of a mental health condition for many years following his time in the Forces but found huge support from his own assistance dog.
