Trade Marketing Manager

Location: Okehampton, Devon

Hours: Mon-Fri 37.5 hour week. Flexibility needed

Salary: Dependant on experience

Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays

Reporting into: Marketing Director

 

Role Summary

 

To ensure that the marketing strategy, activity and shopper insights are fully maximised across all trade channels.

A key manager within the marketing team, responsible for working closely with marketing and sales team to implement effective trade marketing activity across all trade channels.

 

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Supporting and delivering trade campaigns against business objectives and budget. In particular product and marketing campaign (eg National Trust, ATL activity) launches across the trade
  • Briefing internal and third party agencies on up and coming campaigns and working with our internal and external design agencies to bring POS, campaigns to life
  • Working with the sales team to help deliver the sales objectives through effective promotional campaigns and support materials across all trade channels
  • Reviewing the KPIs of trade marketing campaigns and making recommendations moving forward
  • Translating the shopper marketing strategy, plans and insights into motivating reasons for the trade to support the Forthglade brand
  • Working with the insights manager to build presentations for the sales team, these insights will also be used in trade PR, social and advertising
  • Delivering branded assets and point of sale aligned to agreed plans and budget
  • Delivering all trade exhibitions and events, reviewing and making recommendations moving forward
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all trade communications and activity
  • Supporting the Head of Communications on the trade media and PR plans
  • Managing the trade social channels and supporting on B2B digital activities, including the trade section of the website (stockists lists / information for trade accounts), the trade database and e-mail campaigns
  • Take ownership of specific responsibilities and projects as required by the Marketing Director
  • Be an agent of change, challenge the status quo, be inquisitive, continually look at channel dynamics and make recommendations for growth and process improvement to the Sales Director and wider business
 
 

Person Specification

 

  • @5 years experience in Trade Marketing.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to think and act strategically and develop strong recommendations
  • Highly commercial with an eye for detail
  • Acts with a sense of urgency
  • Understand the need for concise and effective communication with both customers and internal stakeholders
  • High levels of planning and prioritisation skills to accommodate changes with objectives
  • High level of numeric and IT competency
  • Good interpersonal skills to ensure close working relationship with sales and marketing
  • Committed to their own personal development
