Job Overview
- The Digital Marketing Executive’s purpose is to align with the wider team’s objective of driving full funnel marketing activity to maximize wider brand awareness, sales and conversion.
- Day to day running of marketing campaigns, inc Email, PPC, Affiliates and Paid Social.
- Understanding of marketing campaigns and regular reporting on what is and isn’t working, and the necessary actions that need to be taken.
- Briefing, creating and testing email marketing campaigns - writing persuasive copy that is aligned with business objectives, testing proofs across all ESPs and formats, executing tests across subject lines, TOD sends and analysing how campaign results can be optimised further
- Support management of customer flow emails – including briefing and creation of customer specific email campaigns, including prospect to new customer, anniversaries, customer cohort emails – covering new, lapsed, reengaged campaigns. Ensuring all are optimised to drive engagement and revenue.
- Enhance cross-sell and upsell opportunities across all email touchpoints - focus on range awareness, repeat purchase and new product launches.
- Working with Comms/PR/Organic Social team to support Charity/CSR/Brand comms messages and content are managed through the email channel
Content Marketing
- Supporting the Content Marketing calendar with the Canine Community web pages in-mind. Working collaboratively with our SEO agency to create evergreen and keyword-optimised content.
- Ensuring all content within the Canine Community is tagged so that all content is easy to navigate, supporting the research journey through from About Us sections and the product ranges so they are clearly displayed throughout other areas of the site.
- Working with Comms/PR/Organic Social team to support Charity/CSR/Brand comms messages and content through all customer marketing touchpoints and onsite.
Paid Media
- Supporting the relationship with the paid media agencies to ensure that they are delivering the agreed KPIs
- Working with our paid media agencies across Search, Facebook, Instagram, Programmatic and Affiliates - across campaigns and reporting on success and opportunities and management of budgets
- Briefing in campaigns, ad copy updates and supporting the day to day running of accounts
Understanding
- Daily checks of all live marketing campaigns across PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates, email and Partnerships to ensure price, product and customer experience are optimized and amending as required
- To review marketing campaign performance, customer buying habits and making tactical decisions in optimising them as required
- Remain commercially aware, monitoring competitor activity and industry insights
- Support on data production for Monthly Board reports including key insights and recommendations
Partnerships & Direct Mail
- Assist with planning and executing Direct Mail campaigns to re-engage existing customers and/or acquire new customers.
- Identify online partnership opportunities to drive brand awareness.
- Work closely with the Comms team to support on competition and data-capture activity.
