Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Okehampton, Devon.

Hours: Mon-Fri 40 hours per week. Flexible approach to working hours required.

Role Summary

 

To co-ordinate and lead the Production engineering team on site so that it effectively supports manufacturing by optimising resources, training, and processes to deliver business targets and objectives.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the completion of all planned preventative maintenance, including maintaining and servicing all site services equipment.
  • Responsible for administration and allocation of work, accepting work requests and use by engineering of the CMMS system to ensure historical data can be accessed for KPIs and downtime reduction.
  • To ensure compliance is achieved in all aspects of factory culture, Legionella, BRC audits, etc
  • To ensure that a safe working environment exists for all employees in engineering and that as a minimum their area meets the standards set out in the H&S policy.

 

Person Specification

 

 

  • Experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Working knowledge of a FMCG environment.
  • Confident use of computers and related software.
  • Electrical / mechanical qualifications and time served experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and best practice.
  • Experience of working on site facilities and utilities systems.
  • Good numeracy and literary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own time effectively.
  • Must be trustworthy, reliable, and punctual in keeping with the company values.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and the ability to flex around the requirements of the business.
