Location: Okehampton, Devon.

Hours: 40 Hours Rotating; Week 1: 0600 – 1400 Hours /Week 2: 1400 – 2200 Hours, plus Saturday working on Overtime (time and one half). Flexible approach to working hours required.
It’s an exciting time to join the Forthglade family in our state-of-the-art factory in Okehampton. We’ve been proudly producing natural pet food in Devon since 1971 and things have changed a lot since then.
Role Summary
This role provides engineering support to Production to ensure efficient performance on all equipment whilst ensuring that all H&S procedures, and engineering best practice is adhered to at all times.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurate & timely records are entered and recorded on all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares/consumables used.
- Carry out routine maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.
- Attend and resolve breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Promote and complete CI work to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Times served apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Recognised Engineering qualification.
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Flexible working attitude.
- Competent electrical / fault finding & analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Methodical & strong attention to detail.
