E-commerce Manager

 

Location: Okehampton, Devon

Hours: Mon-Fri 37.5 hour week.

Salary: Dependant on experience

Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays

Reporting into: Marketing Director

 

Job purpose

 

  • Development and implementation of the e-commerce strategy
  • Day to day running of the e-commerce section of the site, inc merchandising, pricing, promotions and stock management
  • Delivering the sales objectives through effective new customer acquisition and retention plans
  • Regular reporting on what is and isn’t working, and the necessary actions that need to be taken

 

 

Accountabilities

 

Merchandising

  • Ensuring that the product ranges are clearly displayed in the most compelling way with a high degree of rich content
  • Reviewing the shopper journey and overall user experience and amending the site as required
  • Following the agreed pricing strategy
  • Implementing the agreed promotional plan

 

Acquisition

  • Working with the digital marketing manager to deliver the conversion objectives via : Organic / SEO / PPC / Paid social
  • Delivering the conversion element of the referrals plan: affiliates and partnerships
  • Implementing direct mail
  • Working with the digital team re E-mail for non shoppers
  • Building the trade section

 

Retention

  • Ensuring that the Shopper experience is exceptional
  • Developing and extending the Subscription prog
  • Implement plan to deliver Shopper sign ups
  • Work with digital manager re E-mail retention plan
  • Manage how we make the most of Reviews

Customer service

 

Fulfillment

  • Managing the relationship with the fulfillment agency to ensure that they are delivering the agreed KPIs
  • Managing stock levels and the rotation of stock
  • Ensuring that the customer is delighted when their order arrives.
  • Finding ways to improve margin
  • Affiliate opportunities via shared information in orders

 

Understanding

  • Building shopper profiles
  • Understanding shopper behavior and adjusting our merchandising and comms to be more effective
  • Reviewing customer responses to messaging to ensure effective marketing
  • Reviewing Customer response to products / ranges to enable improved EPD and NPD
