Last week we were very excited to receive a visit from our third sponsored Guide Dog puppy, Cooper, and his very lovely puppy walker, Sue. Just a coincidence but it was also National Cream Tea day, so we thought what better way to celebrate than to host a Great Guide Dogs tea party!
It was really great to finally meet Cooper, and to see how far he's come already. It was a bonus too, that we managed to raise over £100 - safe to say we all enjoy cake, and lots of it!
The day was a great success and the Forthglade team were delighted to be able to play a small part in helping to develop Cooper’s socialisation skills. He was a very tired little pup after a few hours of play. Oops. We mean learning time...
Meeting Sue, Cooper’s puppy walker has given us a wonderful insight into just how far Cooper has already come within his short spout as a Guide Dog pup in training. Amazingly Sue has already had 7 Guide dog puppies over the years, who all have successfully been placed with a client.
Cooper at only 5 months old is learning to become a little life-changer and is already house-trained, used to a collar and lead and socialising with both humans and dogs. By the time Cooper is six months old he will be a confident, relaxed and happy pup and ready to face any of the day-to-day busy environments he will encounter.
