We're delighted to have announced a new three-year charity partnership with the National Trust, where we'll be supporting the development of their ‘Dogs Welcome’ project – aimed at improving access for our four-legged friends across the places they care for in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The National Trust has been preserving the nations heritage and open spaces for over 120 years, so that everyone can have an opportunity to enjoy them, today, and for years to come. The National Trust cares for many of the beautiful places we and our four-legged friends love to explore, including 780 miles of coastline, forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, nature reserves, villages, historic houses, gardens, mills, pubs and much more!
we’re thrilled to continue supporting Guide Dogs UK
We launched the partnership in 2016 with news of sponsoring our first ever Guide Dog puppy Ruby, through the ‘Name a Puppy’ campaign. We’ve seen Ruby develop admirable skills through her training to become an official guide dog - check out our short video below to see how she got on.
We welcomed another Guide Dog puppy into the Forthglade family last year- Ralph, and we're very much looking forward to seeing him follow in Ruby's footsteps & grow into being a life-changer.
Of course we'll continue to keep you posted on their progress and we hope you'll join us in raising awareness of the wonderful work the charity is doing, and taking part in their national events throughout 2019.
South West Coast Path Association
We feel very lucky producing our natural pet food here in Devon - it’s a real privilege, however we try not to take all the wonderful scenery for granted, appreciating that precious areas need protecting if future generations are to enjoy them too, which is why we’re thrilled to be teaming up with the South West Coast Path Association; an organisation dedicated to protecting one of the region’s most treasured dog walking spots.
The South West Coast Path is the longest of the country’s fifteen National Trails and enables walkers and their dogs to explore 630 miles of breath-taking views along the coastline, from Minehead in Somerset to Poole Harbour in Dorset.
we proudly support the Woodland Trust
As the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity, The Woodland Trust is the leading voice for woods and trees. The charity aims to inspire people up and down the country to visit woods, plant trees, treasure wildlife, and enjoy the overwhelming benefits that woods and trees offer to our landscape and lives.
As avid woodland dog walkers we’re huge supporters of the great work achieved by The Woodland Trust.
we’re donating food to Dogs On The Streets
We were delighted to recently announce our new charity partnership with Dogs On The Streets (DOTS), a multi-award winning, volunteer-run and not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of dogs belonging to the UK's homeless community.
Each month we donate 2,000 dogs dinners to the charity who operates weekly in London as well as running regular services in other major UK cities with a hopes to expand even further.
Veterans With Dogs
We’re very proud to be supporting this locally-based charity, dedicated to providing highly trained dogs to both current and former members of the British Armed Forces, who are suffering from service-related mental health conditions.
The only charity of it’s kind in the UK, Veterans With Dogs can now feed their four-legged companions a healthy, 100% natural Forthglade diet at a discounted price making sure that their life-changing companions remain happy & healthy and ready to tackle each day with a waggly-tail.
our latest charity projects
Each month in addition to our long standing charity partnerships (including Guide Dogs & the Woodland Trust) we pick three smaller charitable causes to support. Whether its food donations that’s needed, raising awareness of a specific charity or helping to find a forever home for a four-legged friend, we love being able to help!

Ipplepen is very local to our offices in Winkleigh and it is close to the heart of one of our members of staff, who has many fond memories of volunteering...
We recently helped to find new homes for 3 beautiful huskies called Gizmo, Marley and Bandit. During their stay in our kennels, they slowly started to go off their food...
Little Valley, RSPCA
Being one of our local RSPCA shelters, we visited the lovely staff and animal to donate some treats after hearing that they were in short supply...
