happy paws

Each month in addition to our long standing charity partnerships (including Guide Dogs & the Woodland Trust) we pick five smaller charitable causes to support. Whether its food donations that’s needed, raising awareness of a specific charity or helping to find a forever home for a four-legged friend, we love to being able help!

Bluecross

“We recently helped to find new homes for 3 beautiful huskies called Gizmo, Marley and Bandit. During their stay in our kennels, they slowly started to go off their food. We tried tempting them with different brands of wet and dry food, but they turned their noses up at most of the varieties we had available at the centre.

We were concerned about their nutrition and wellbeing from eating so little, so we reached out to Forthglade to see if they could help – they kindly visited our centre and donated some wet food to us. The huskies loved it!

As a charity we are reliant on donations to help us look after the animals in our care so we are incredibly grateful to Forthglade for their generosity in helping us keep the huskies, and other animals looking for new homes, fed and happy!”

Animals in distress

Ipplepen

Ipplepen is very local to our offices in Winkleigh and it is close to the heart of one of our members of staff, who has many fond memories of volunteering and assisting with dog walking. We happily donated to this lovely little rescue centre in January 2018.

Little Valley RSPCA

Exeter

Being one of our local RSPCA shelters, we visited the lovely staff and animals to donate some treats after hearing that they were in short supply. Since our original visit we have been able to continue supporting this time with cat food for their increasingly expanding cat residents awaiting their forever homes.

Woodside Animal Shelter

Plymouth

This animal sanctuary takes in all animals, not just dogs and they do an absolutely great job. We visited Carole and her lovely team in June with a donation of wet food after discovering they were running very low on wet food.

Being a local charity, we leaped at the chance of helping our four-legged friends who are awaiting their forever homes in the rescue’s loving care.
